Year: 1810's
Label: Unlabeled
Color: Ivory
Fabric: Silk Brocade
Lining: Unlined
Special Features: Purchased at a flea market in Paris, this incredible gown has a floral and stripe brocade pattern in the silk. The gown has an empire waistline with pleats pointing upward to the bust and shirring across the back skirt. Attached ribbon circles the waist and hook in back. Th matching sleeves are gathered across the top and fall to pleated bands in ivory satin around the wrists. A narrow ribbon circles around the wrist and hook closed creating a flounce over the hands.
Condition: The dress appears to possibly have been altered at some point. Sadly some varmint attacked the wrist area of one of the sleeves. No shattering to the silk.
