Special Features: Awesome evening dress in white silk organza. The dress consists of a slip, blouse and pinafore. The blouse has a pleated scarf that ties into a bow at the neck and button closures down the front. Full sleeves end in gathers at the button closing cuffs. The half slip is white cotton that falls in gathers from the waistband. A net ruffle runs along the lower skirt. The pinafore has wide shoulder straps that snap at the back waistline. Full gathered skirt and sash ties at the waistband that also tie in back. Large hand painted clusters of flowers and polka dots adorn the pinafore. The same dress is featured in the newest Met exhibit on American Fashion.

Condition: There are some very faint yellowing spill stains on the bib and hemline of the pinafore. The silk is very delicate from the painting and one of the bouquets has been reinforced from the backside.
