Beanie No. 2 is a classic hat knit in rib pattern. The design can be done in a classic wool version or in a mohair edition.

The hat is knit in the round on circular needles and is finished with the magic loop method at the decreases.

By casting on the stitches with the Italian method, you will get the neatest result at the edge.

Choose the size below based on your head’s circumference.

I.e. you measure your own head, not the hat!

RECOMMENDED NEEDLES

Circular needle 3,5 mm (60 cm)

You might need double pointed needles 3,5 mm

Gauge: 31 sts x 28 rows in rib on needle 3,5 mm = 10 x 10 cm

Remember that the needle size is just a recommendation. Please knit a gauge swatch first to make sure, that the hat’s proportions are correct.

50 (50) 50 (50) g Arwetta from Filcolana 250 m / 50 g
