This is a pre-owned men’s (buttons to the right) night shirt or long shirt made in England by Eskandar.  Eskandar Nabavi established his brand during the 1990s, and found success when Neiman Marcus starting selling the line in the year 2000.  Eskandar discontinued menswear in 2008 due to the economic crisis - I think that they endeavoured to re-introduce a men’s line in 2015, but I don’t believe that they are producing menswear today.  This night shirt is made in a long loose fitting style with 100% white linen.  It has a narrow collar with a visible button at the neck - the other eight buttons that close the front are hidden by an overflap.  Like a typical night shirt, there is a 13” slit at either bottom side and a centre pleat down the back that starts under the yoke.  The sleeves have a single button closure cuff.  

Sizing: The size label on this night shirt reads “1”, which I assume is one size fits all, and although this should fit a range of sizes, please rely on the following measurements for fit (please take the style of the night shirt into consideration):

Shoulders:  22” across from shoulder/sleeve seam to shoulder/sleeve seam

Sleeves:  22 1/2” long from the shoulder/sleeve seam

Sleeve inseam: 21”

Chest: 52” around, taken under the arms, meant to be loose/oversized

Waist:  52” around, meant to fall loosely

Bottom:  59” around

Overall length: 38 1/2”, measured flat

Condition: Pre-owned, but it is in very clean condition with no wear, tear, staining or odour - this looks to have seen very little use.

Eskandar menswear is now a rare thing as it wasn’t produced for very long - this white linen night shirt is not easy to find!
