Further information about Fingal the Bear:

Like his namesake, Fingal has aspirations to become a Warrior Bear. That's why he chooses to wear the breacan-an-feileadh mor or Great Kilt - just like his fighting forebears.

Fingal is fierce but has a very soft heart. When not practicing slaying, Fingal can be found foraging under beds, sleeping in front of the TV, or hiding in a Christmas stocking.

Please note: His broadsword and targe are not included for safety reasons after an incident in the toy room which left one rag doll, an astronaut, and a T-Rex in tatters.

He stands approx. 10"/254mm high (not perhaps as tall as his namesake who was quite the giant!)

Polyester filled. Moveable arms, legs, and head

Not suitable for children under 36 months.

*Fingal will come wearing CURAIDH tartan - The Official Pink Ribbon Tartan

Please note there is a 4-week lead time for made-to-order Fingals (or longer during the Christmas period).

OUR CHOSEN CHARITY

Once again, we have harnessed the symbolic power of tartan to raise funds for excellent charities doing incredible work and to offer a symbol of hope and love.

For 2023, after extensive consultation with our customers, we have chosen to support The Pink Ribbon Foundation. 10% of each purchase goes directly to them.

    More information about the charity:

Every year the Pink Ribbon Foundation (Reg. Charity No. 1080839) invites charities in the UK to apply for a grant to help them continue their vital work or to fund one-off projects.

Some of the many charities that have benefitted from a grant from the Foundation include:

    • The Haven
    • Cancerkin
    • Action Against Breast Cancer
    • Farleigh Hospice
    • The Primrose Centre
    • Cancer Research UK
    • Macmillan Cancer Support
    • Helen Rollason Cancer Charity... and more

For many of these smaller charities, a grant from the Pink Ribbon Foundation can make a huge difference. It can provide a highly skilled programme of care, complementary therapies, counselling for patients and their families, up-date communication materials, awareness programmes, lymphedema care, therapy sessions, specialist equipment, extra nurses to care for breast cancer patients, vital research into this terrible disease and much much more.
