This sterling silver horse bit is an intricate ‘70s-era vintage creation, crafted using sterling silver and turquoise with base metal and brass accents. “This piece is very unique and unusual,” Cheryl explained. “Some of the first pieces created by the Zuni and Navajo were mimicking the Spanish headstalls and bits, so even though this one is from the 1970s, it’s unique in that it carries on that original style. It is signed, ‘Angelina Boone, Flagstaff, Arizona’, but unfortunately we haven’t been able to determine much more about the maker, though she was obviously very talented. The craftsmanship on this piece is quality -- and you know it lured me in with that turquoise!”
