Our Noguchi shirt is inspired by the workwear styles this talented Asian American artist wore in daily life. Whether carving stone, designing furniture, or relaxing with a cup of tea, Isamu Noguchi always seemed to wear clothes with an effortless ease that suited every occasion. This mentality of dressing is a core inspiration to our designs at Blluemade. We strive to create clothes you can work in, walk in, dine out while wearing, or even dress up creatively for a special occasion. The Noguchi shirt embodies those aspects for us. This season we made the Noguchi shirt in a Japanese seersucker from a historic mill with a specialty in kimono fabrics and trim. This substantial all-cotton seersucker has a subtly different weave and slightly stiff hand which both looks and feels unique. The color is reminiscent of the blue sky on a cloudy day.
