 About the Name:

This dress was named after Amelia Jenks Bloomer who a heroine of her time (1800's) and frankly would be in any era. She was an early suffragist, editor, and social activist. She advocated for change in woman's fashion making it more comfortable and practical in a time where men dictated the manner of dress. We are inspired by her courage and strength to change what had always been.
