These copper leaf earrings from the late 1940s are a vintage classic. When World War II ended copper became the perfect base metal for designing jewelry. It can be adapted into different shapes, stretched thin, and slow to corrode. Needless to say, it became very popular. "The bold copper motifs appealed to forward-thinking women who no longer wanted to wear their mother’s or grandmother’s understated jewelry." (Excerpt from truelegacyhomes.com) These earrings are 1 1/4 inches long and signed "Renoir", a copper jewelry innovator of it's time, with clip on backs, and in very good condition, minor front scuffs and back discoloration. This is an authentic vintage earring set in wearable condition, that has been cleaned and repaired (if necessary). Flaws will be noted, but please ask any questions you may have as this is a FINAL SALE item and cannot be returned.
