Inspired by the striped shirts worn by French mariners and popularized by Cary Grant in To Catch a Thief, our take is made from a super-soft yet hefty jersey cotton from Portugal. Even though the costume designer on that Alfred Hitchcock classic was Oscar-winner Edith Head, Grant reportedly put together some of the looks himself based on what he sourced on The French Riviera. The hand feel is similar to a classic rugby shirt. The fit is slightly tailored and the shirt has side vents at the waist. Solid enough to wear on its own or layer beneath a cardigan or oxford when the weather turns cold.
