Alison Jean Cole travels the West in search of beautiful rocks in nature. She takes large chunks of rough material to cut into slabs on a really big rock saw, then the shapes are trimmed out of the slabs on a smaller rock saw. She uses successive grits to polish each stone by hand on a rudimentary faceting machine. The result are these gorgeous, unique and one of a kind pieces.
This bolo tie necklace features a pendant made from domortierite, pink opal, and rhyolite stones and hangs on a tan leather cord tie with silver tips. Stone piece measures about 2" wide and length of bolo tie is about 18".
