This is a lovely knit shawl with hand knit shell shapes in pink wool. The piece has a hand knotted fringe made of silk yarn with some wool yarn incorporated. The shawl is made in a triangular shape.
Sizing: This knit shawl measures 50” across the plain edge and 38” along either fringed edge. The fringe and knotted border measure 10” in length. I’m unsure of its exact age, but I would guess 1930s era from the colours utilized and the construction of the piece.
Condition: It is in excellent condition with no noted defects or breaks - this looks like it saw little, if any, use and was well stored.
