This is a vintage late 1940s nightie made of pink satin with sheer bodice and beige lace trim.  The bodice on this 1940s nightie looks white because of the white mannequin, but it is simply sheer to the point of being transparent.  The lace runs across the bodice in two rows and along the sweetheart neckline and shoulder straps.  The back opening forms a deep V.  The waistline forms an inverted V above the natural waist and there is a tie at either side that tie at the back to cinch the waist.  I believe that the satin is made of rayon.

Sizing: Size 40 is indicated on this 1940s nightie, and although this should fit a size large, please rely on the following measurements for fit keeping in mind that there are no openings and the nightie has to slip over the head:

Length:  59”, measured flat

Condition:  This 1940s nightie is in excellent condition with no wear, tear, soiling, staining or odour.  It looks like it saw little, or no, use and was well stored.
