This is an excellent quality vintage 1950s ladies coat featuring green wool blended with, I believe, alpaca - note the flecking in the fabric.  This 1950s ladies coat has high set wide notched lapels and a six button double breasted front  The sleeves are wrist length with turned cuffs, typical of 50s fashion, as women would wear gloves and want to show them off. The coat has a pocket built into either side and is fully lined in green satin.  It cinches at the waist with a matching sash belt.  Note in the measurements below that the buttons appear to have been moved in 1 3/4”, in order to enlarge the coat around the body - you have the option to move the buttons back to their original position.

Label: None, but this 1950s ladies coat is manufactured, very well made

Sizing: This 1950s ladies coat has no size label, but should fit a size medium.  Please rely on the following measurements for fit, taking the style of the coat and the thickness of the fabric into account:

Shoulders:  15” across from shoulder/sleeve seam to shoulder/sleeve seam, but your shoulder cap would fit into the top of the sleeve

Sleeves:  22 1/2” from the shoulder/sleeve seam 

Sleeve Inseam:  15 1/2”

Bust: 45” around, originally probably 41 1/2” 

Waist: 41” around, originally probably 37 1/2”

Hips: 48” around, originally probably 44 1/2”

Length: 41”, measured flat at the back from the neck seam

Condition:  This 1950s ladies coat is in very clean condition with no noted wear, tear, stains or odour, but the lining is discoloured at the upper and lower areas.
