This is a wonderful vintage dressing gown or lounging robe made in Italy under the Florida Confezioni label.  This dressing gown has a wide rounded quilted collar with a V shaped neckline.  It closes with two covered buttons at the neckline and has 3/4 length sleeves.  The velvet features a rich deep red colour almost burgundy.  There is a quilted patch pocket built at either side and the gown is fully lined in a shiny taffeta. 

Age: although difficult to date precisely, most likely 1950s given the style and label

Label: Florida Confezioni IV / 48.  I haven’t been able to find much about this company other than it still exists and is located in Asiago, in the Venetian region.

Fabric:  Velvet.  Very soft, excellent quality

Sizing: Size IV / 48  is indicated on this dressing gown, but this is a vintage Italian sizing. It should fit a large size - in any case, please rely on the following measurements for fit:

Shoulders: 17” across seam-to-seam

Sleeves: 18” long from seam

Sleeve Inseam: 13 1/2” long

Bust: 48”, taken under the arms, meant to be loose

Waist: 52”

Overall length: 47”, measured flat at the back from the neck seam

Condition: This dressing gown is in very clean condition with no wear, tear or odour - very well kept over the years.

This is a wonderful vintage dressing gown – nice quality velvet and colour….
