  • Product Description

This is a vintage 1960s, or very early 70s, mens leather coat made in a trench style. This mens leather coat has wide notched lapels and collar, a six button double breasted front,  button decorated shoulder epaulets, a vertical pocket built into either side, belted cuffs, a single 20” kick vent at the back and cinches with a matching belt at the waist.  This mens leather coat is lined in checked wool flannel over the lower interior and with an interlined acetate fabric over the upper interior.  The buttons are made in plastic with a faux leather look.  You can close the neck, but there is no button although there is a corresponding buttonhole - this mens leather coat appears to have originally been made like this.

Label:  C/L Jeno de Paris Montreal Made in Canada.  Jeno de Paris was a brand name of the Crown Leather Garment company of Montreal and first saw use in 1962.  It was officially registered as a brand name in 1979, but retired in 1984.  This brand is generally recognized as having produced excellent quality

Colour:  Medium brown

Sizing: Size 44 is indicated on this mens leather coat and although this should fit a large size,  please note the following measurements for fit, taking the cut of this mens leather coat and thickness of the fabric into account:

Shoulders:  20” from shoulder seam to shoulder seam

Sleeves: 26” from the shoulder seam

Sleeve Inseam:  17 1/2”

Chest: 48” around, taken under the arms - note that sizing is usually 4” less than chest measurement, making this a US size 44

Waist:  45” around, meant to be cinched with the belt

Hips:  48”

Length:  44”

Condition:  This mens overcoat is in excellent condition, very clean with no noted wear, tear or staining - it looks to have seen little, if any, use.  There is a small opening to the seam of the right armpit lining (see last close-up photo), really insignificant.

This is great looking mens leather coat - difficult to find nice examples like this in such great shape!
