This is a 1960s mens overcoat featuring a quality two toned twilled worsted wool, almost like a sharkskin in its lustre.  The colour is brown with a yellowish undercast.  This 1960s mens overcoat is made with high set, narrow width notched lapels, two buttons at the cuffs and has a three button closure. There is a flapped pocket built into either side and a 12 1/2” kick vent at the back. This 1960s mens overcoat is half lined with an orange toned satin fabric across the upper back and down the front interior. The wool on this This 1960s mens overcoat is in a light to medium weight.

Union label:  ACWA - Amalgamated Clothing Workers of America label used between 1962 and 1976.

Sizing: This 1960s mens overcoat has no size indicated, and although this should fit a size small to medium (US size 34/36), if you wish to wear a jacket underneath, it may be more suited to a medium size, so please rely on the following measurements for fit, taken from the exterior:

Shoulders: 16 1/2” across, estimated due to the raglan sleeves

Sleeves: 26” from the estimated shoulder

Sleeve Inseam: 16 1/2” long

Chest: 40 1/2” around, taken under the arms - 20 1/4” across pit-to-pit

Waist: 39 1/2” around

Overall length: 39“ measured at the back from neck seam to hemline

Condition: This 1960s mens overcoat is in very good condition with no pronounced wear, tear, stains or odours.  The only issues are that the cuff buttons do not match exactly the front buttons, I’m unsure if this is original or if they are replacement buttons, and the lining is a little unstitched in one area (see last close-up photo),very minor.
