This is a vintage 1960s pink dress featuring a silky bodice with pleated chiffon skirt.  The dress comes with a matching jacket. This 1960s pink dress is made in a sleeveless sheath style with turned rounded collar.  It is made in a to-the-knee length.  It has a matching belt and the skirt falls in drapes.  The skirt to this 1960s pink dress has a crepe slip.  The dress does up the back with a metal zipper.  The jacket is made of the same fabric as the bodice of the dress.  It is made in a six button double breasted style with high set wide pointy lapels and collar.  It has a faux pocket flap at either side and the sleeves are in an above the wrist length.

Label: only an ILGWU union label, used between 1964 and 1973 - this 1960s pink dress would date to the earlier part of that date range

Fabric:  Unmarked.  Might be slubbed silk, or an imitation silk with a rayon chiffon skirt

Sizing: No size is indicated on this 1960s pink dress, but it should fit a small to small medium size - please rely on the following measurements for fit: 

Dress:

Shoulders:  14 1/2” across

Bust:  34”-35” around

Waist: 26” around

Hips:  36” around

Length:  36” measured flat at the back from the neck seam

Jacket:  

Shoulders:  16” across shoulder/sleeve seams

Sleeves:  21” from the shoulder seam

Sleeve inseam:  16”

Bust:  36” around

Waist: 37” around

Length:  24” measured flat at the back from the neck seam

Condition:  This 1960s pink dress is in excellent condition with no pronounced wear, tear or staining - the jacket, however, has a replacement button that doesn’t quite match at the front.  You have the option of using one of the buttons from the back belt and changing both of the belt buttons or you could try to find a matching button.  Otherwise, this looks to have seen little use and has been well kept over the years.
