This is a vintage red wool curling sweater used by a member of the St. Laurent Curling Club - St. Laurent is a suburb of the city of Montreal. It dates either to the early 1960s or late 50s. It has a ribbed rounded collar, a ribbed bottom and ribbed cuffs. The sleeves are made in a raglan style and there is a pocket at the lower right front side. This curling sweater is made of medium weight wool so would be good for a cooler temperature, such as that in a curling rink. The sweater does up with five red plastic buttons down the front. A St. Laurent Curling Club patch is applied to the upper right sleeve and there is a grey wool band down the left side.
