This is an Indian cotton skirt, lightweight, and never used, one of a lot of old store stock stored in a warehouse for the last 45+ years. This Indian cotton skirt is block printed in horizontal bands that include ornate floral and foliate designs incorporating elephants, people and peacocks. The print is in tones of red, ochre brown, cream white and black. The fabric was made in India of 100% cotton, woven in a translucent light weight, great for summer wear. The Indian cotton skirt is made in a wraparound style that ties at the side.
Label: CA-05678 / 100% Cotton Made in India. CA-05678 is the Canadian textile identification number for the Neelam Importex of Toronto - as far as I can tell, this company has been inactive for many years.
Size: No size is indicated on this Indian cotton skirt, and although this should fit a range of medium sizes, please rely on the following measurements for fit, taking the style of the skirt into account:
Waist: 28”, maybe smaller if you cinch the ties to as much as maybe 36” if you let the ties out
Hips: 44”, meant to fall loosely
Length: 36“, measured lying flat
Condition: This Indian gauze cotton skirt is in excellent condition as it was never used - ready for use.
