This is a 1980s Thierry Mugler coat made in France.  This Thierry Mugler coat is made in an 80s New Wave oversized style, with a wide upper silhouette that tapers to the hemline.  It has wide padded shoulders, very wide notched lapels, a two button front, large flapped patch pockets and single button split cuffs. The lower back is cinched with a belt affixed with two buttons.  There is a geometric wedge detail at the front hip area and at either cuff.  This Thierry Mugler coat is fully lined in cream coloured viscose fabric. 

Colour:  Griege - a greyish beige tone

Label: Thierry Mugler Paris Made in France.  Thierry Mugler was celebrated during the 1980s and 90s for his ultra modern and avant grade designs.  

Material: There is no content label on this Thierry Mugler coat, but it is fairly soft, possibly a wool and cashmere blend - note in the photos that it has a raised nappe.  In any case, definitely a quality fabric

Sizing: The size label on this Thierry Mugler coat reads French size 36 which should be equivalent to a US size 6, and although this should fit a small size, note that this coat will be very oversized.  Please note on the following measurements:

Shoulders:  21 1/2” across from seam to seam, 24” across the pads

Sleeves:  22 1/2” from the shoulder seam

Sleeve inseam:  

Bust:  50” around

Waist: 46” around

Hips:  44”

Overall length: 48“, measured flat

Condition:  This Thierry Mugler coat is in very good condition with the exception of some nibbles to the nappe (finish) at the lower right sleeve, a couple to the right collar and a couple to the interior collar (see last close-up photos).  Otherwise, this Thierry Mugler coat coat is clean with no other wear, tear, holes or odour - this coat looks to have seen little use.
