This is a 100% cotton knit pullover vintage Ralph Lauren Polo sweater made in 1992 .  The left sleeve is embroidered with CP RL-92, which is a reference to the 1992 America’s Cup.  Ralph Lauren was named the official outfitter for the US team that year and was also a sponsor of the race.  This Ralph Lauren Polo sweater is knit in broad horizontal stripes in colours of green, white, red, navy blue and yellow.  The manufacturing label states “Polo by Ralph Lauren Made in Hong Kong” and the content label reads “100% Cotton”.  The sweater is in very good condition with no wear, tear, stains or odours, very clean.  

Sizing:  Size M for medium is indicated on this Ralph Lauren Polo sweater - please rely on the following measurements for fit, taking the stretch of the knit into consideration:

Shoulders: 24” across from shoulder/sleeve seam to shoulder/sleeve seam

Sleeves: 24 1/2” long from the shoulder/sleeve seam, cuff unturned

Sleeve Inseam:  21” long

Chest: 52” around, taken under the arms

This is not a common Ralph Lauren Polo sweater - in 2018, Ralph Lauren issued a tribute line called CP-93, taking inspiration from the 1992 sponsorship of the America’s Cup.  Original CP RL-92 items can be found, but this Ralph Lauren Polo sweater appears to be elusive - great addition to a vintage Ralph Lauren collection!
