This is a vintage early 70s dandy fashion shirt featuring a dog ear collar and wonderful bright floral print. It has double button barrel cuffs, button down shoulder epaulets and a button down flapped box pleated pocket at the left chest. It is made in a jersey fabric, probably acrylic. There is no neck closure - there is stitching for a buttonhole, but no hole and no button, but I guess the stitching gives you the option of piercing the centre and sewing on a button if you want to close the neck.
Label: No label on this 70s dandy fashion shirt
Sizing: No size label on this 70s dandy fashion shirt, and although this should fit a medium to large size, please note the following measurements, noting that this would be very fitted on a large size, which is probably the right look:
Shoulders: 19” across, seam to seam
Sleeves: 27” long from the shoulder seam, 37” long from the mid-neck
Sleeve inseam: 21”
Chest: 44” around, 22” across pit-to-pit
Waist: 39” around
Length: 32” measured flat at the front from the neck seam
Condition: This 70s dandy fashion shirt is in very clean condition - looks like it saw little, if any, use, quite crisp.
This vintage mens shirt is right out of the 70s dandy fashion era - 1969 to 1973, fabulous example!
