This is a gorgeous pair of authentic vintage 70s platform shoes for women. They feature a 1” thick sole, a double ankle strap and a chunky high heel.  These 70s platform shoes are covered in black suede leather. 

Age: 1970s

Maker: I believe T Elliott & Sons Made in Portugal.  I can only make out Elliott on one of the shoes as the insole stamping is quite worn.  T Elliott was a venerable family owned British shoe retailer that reinvented itself to appeal to the youth culture of the 60s and 70s.  They are known for their clever, cutting edge, advertising, including the use of nudes - their posters and other advertising is very collectible now.  Elliott would import shoes from diverse countries including Spain, Portugal and Switzerland.  Their clients included Lulu and Britt Eckland.  The lady from whom these 70s platform shoes came lived in London at the time that these were acquired. 

Sizing: The woman from whom these 70s platform shoes came normally wore a US size 9 and the insole length is consistent with a US size 9, but please note what measurements that I can provide:

Insole:  10 1/8” in length from tip of toe to back of the insole, following the contour of the insole

Sole Width: 3 1/8” at its widest

Heel:  3 3/4” in height

Condition: These 70s platform shoes are in very good condition with light wear to the soles and insole stamps - overall these look to have seen very little use.
