This is an Air Transat pilot uniform jacket that belonged to the a gentleman who held the rank of First Officer.  Air Transat is a Quebec based airline that is presently the third largest airline in Canada - they fly only to vacation destinations.  Air Transat was founded in 1986 by now Quebec Premier Francois Legault along with other partners and flew their first flight in November of 1987.  This Air Transat pilot uniform jacket is dated 1991 on the tailor’s label, so it dates to a time when Air Transat was a relatively new and small airline.  There are three gold stripes on either sleeve cuff and gold wings with an AT in the middle of the crest, located at the left chest. 

Tailor’s label:  La Croix Clothing Premier Officer Air Transat. Aerogare Internationale Mirabel Avril - 91.  I’ve obliterated the pilot’s name on the photo in order protect privacy, but his name is on the label.

Sizing: No size is indicated - this Air Transat pilot uniform jacket should fit a medium size, but please note the following measurements for fit, taken from the exterior of this Air Transat pilot uniform jacket:

Shoulders:  19” across from shoulder seam to shoulder seam

Sleeves:  26 3/4” long

Sleeve Inseam:  18 1/4” long

Chest:  48” around, taken under the arms

Waist:  43” around

Overall length: 32" measured flat at the back from the neckline

Condition:  This Air Transat pilot uniform jacket is in very good condition with no wear, tear, pulls, stains or odour, except that the top button is missing.

This is a rare Air Transat pilot uniform jacket - there would not have been many pilots on the Air Transat payroll at that time….
