This coat is made of European bison (specifically from Poland, where the largest percentage exist on the Old Continent). Typically, bison coats that you see in the U.S. market are left in a more raw state. This coat was made by a fur company that professionally processes the fur for the fashion industry - "Lubelskie Zakłady Futrzarskie Kurów" (Fur Factory in Kurów, Lublin region).
It was more than likely made in the late 50's - early 60's (communist era). I added the natural shed horn toggle buttons and the loops are made of moose hide. I wear a large or men's 42 and it fits me perfectly.
