This is a wonderful vintage Hattie Carnegie necklace made of five strands of translucent yellow glass beads. The necklace has a floral form metal clasp that is studded with gold coloured rhinestones. The clasp is signed Hattie Carnegie within a cartouche. Although Hattie Carnegie costume jewelry was made until 1979, I believe that this vintage Hattie Carnegie necklace is a 1950s or 60s piece.
Sizing: It measures 15” in length along the inner strand and 20 1/2” along the bottom strand, including the clasp.
Condition: It is in very good condition with no missing beads - there is some patina to the back of the clasp.
This is a simple vintage Hattie Carnegie necklace - nothing fancy, but that makes it rather timeless, almost modern in conception, so that the focus is on the pretty colour and interesting unstructured fall. Nice acquisition for the Hattie Carnegie collector!
