This is a wonderful Japanese silk brocade robe made with a mandarin collar and frog closures.  The fabric is fabulous, woven with metallic gold thread as well as other silk thread in tones of green, red, blue and white against an orange silk base.  It is fully lined in orange silk.  The fabric is in a heavier weight - this could easily be used as an evening coat.  There is a pocket at either side and there is a 20 1/2” slit at either bottom side.  This Japanese silk brocade robe was most likely made during the early 1960s.

Condition: This Japanese silk brocade robe is in excellent condition with no wear, tear, staining or odour - the female part of the snap that closes the neck is missing, but this is easy to replace.
