This is a pre-owned overcoat made of Italian 100% pure cashmere fabric in black.  The fabric is very soft, in a medium thickness and of very nice quality.  The coat was made in Montreal, Canada by Cardinal, a manufacturer with a history dating to 1938 that from the beginning focused on manufacturing quality cashmere topcoats.  The coat is made in an easy to wear classic style with higher set medium width notched lapels, three button closure, padded shoulders, flapped side pockets, four button cuffs and 12 1/2” kick vent.  The coat is fully lined in black satin acetate.  The coat has a Tyvek label identifying the model as AM2 Coat and with the Canadian textile identification number of CA 00292, which was assigned to Cardinal.  It was made by ACTWU (Amalgamated Clothing and Textile Workers Union) formed in 1976 and which changed its name to UNITE in 1995.

Sizing: The size label states size 40 S (short), but it doesn’t seem that short to me and may accommodate a size 42 - please rely on the following measurements for fit, taken from the exterior (please take the thickness of the fabric and the cut of the garment into consideration):

Shoulders: 20” across shoulder/sleeve seam to shoulder/sleeve seam

Sleeves: 24 1/2” from shoulder/sleeve seam

Sleeve Inseam: 16 1/4” long

Chest: 47” around, taken under the arms

Waist: 44”

Overall length: 46“, measured flat

Condition:  Although pre-owned, this coat is in very clean condition - it’s obvious that it saw very little use.  There is no wear, tear or staining and has been well stored. 

This is a very nice coat - pure cashmere coats of this quality are very expensive to buy today, so this is a good opportunity to own a high quality overcoat!
