This is a vintage smoking jacket or short lounging robe made of a black acetate fabric that is woven with a sparkly blue ornate pattern. The shawl lapels and turned cuffs are solid black faille (fine grosgrain) and the pockets are also trimmed in black faille. It has an applied pocket on the left chest and on either side. This vintage smoking jacket closes with a matching black sash belt.
Age: probably early 60s

Sizing: The label reads L for large, but please rely on the following measurements for fit:
Shoulders: 18” across seam-to-seam
Sleeves: 23 1/2”
Sleeve Inseam: 16”
Chest: 46”, taken under the arms depending on overlap
Waist: 44” around, but meant to be cinched with belt
Overall length: 33", measured flat
Condition: This vintage smoking jacket is in very good condition with no pronounced wear, tear, soiling staining or odour - the lapels have a few shiny areas and are a little wrinkled, but with a proper pressing will look much better. Do not press directly with a hot iron.
The sparkly blue patterning is wonderful on this vintage smoking jacket - super glittery, this is a striking piece!
