Coming off a Cinderella run to the Sweet 16 the previous year Washington was poised to make a splash on the national scene during the '98-99 season.  With returning big man Todd MacCullouch averaging close to 19ppg and 12rpg the Huskies finished the regular season 17-11. 

They earned a #7 seed in the Midwest Region of the NCAA Tournament where their season ended in heartbreak again at the hands of Wally Szczerbiak and Miami of Ohio, 59-58.
