A classic BDU jacket reinforced with Hoffman Aloha print and customized by Aussie craftsman Kai Brown. Collector’s Edition of 30.

We tapped Australian artist, musician, and surfer Kai Brown to add even more Aloha to our field jacket with his own two hands. Painstakingly chain stitched by Brown himself in his All My Relations workshop and limited to just 30, the amR x Birdwell Aloha Field Jacket is wearable art for when the mission calls for something extra special. 

Purpose-built here in California from cotton poplin—the same material used for our uniforms in WWII—and reinforced on the interior with hits of Hoffman Tropical Paradise Aloha print, our Aloha Field Jacket has enough versatility and personality to rise to the top ranks of any closet. With four bartack-reinforced expandable pockets, a removable velcro “ALOHA” patch on the left chest and the choice of adding more velcro patches from our Field Patch Collection, the Aloha is cut and sewn by our craftspeople in Santa Ana and finished with solid redwood buttons. Command and control any situation, from single-prop plane adventures in Central America to an emergency stint behind the bar in Santorini.

• Features: Chainstitched ALOHA in yellow and hibiscus flower in red on back. Chest and cargo pockets with removable “Aloha” velcro patch and additional velcro rectangle on right sleeve. Solid redwood military style buttons and brown nylon drawcord key loop. Birdwell woven label on back left hem. amR chain-stitched branding on right back hem. Pre-washed for softness and a worn-in look.
• Fit: Birdwell jackets are designed to be regular fitting. Order one size up if you prefer a looser fit.
• Fabric: Durable 6.5oz ripstop cotton poplin exterior. Hoffman Fabrics 100% cotton Tropical Paradise Aloha print reinforcement on interior.
• Construction: Single and double needle topstitching with bar tack reinforcements and dyed-to-match thread. Hand cut and sewn in Santa Ana, CA. Chain stitched in Los Angeles, CA.
• Care: Dry clean only.
