This intricately complex pewter and brass pendant, is a working miniature of a C.18th astrolabe instrument.  Typically used by navigators and astronomers, to measure the direct path of destiny between specified heavenly bodies.

 With multiple brass layers, these complex parts have a circular movement, with a detailed etched pewter base.
