This vessel has a raw foggy matte exterior and has a finished glazed interior. The hand built nature of the piece lends to the organic elemental feel. This piece has several raw exposed clay texture paired with a white matte finish.

Each piece is sturdy but should be treated with care. This vessel is glazed on the interior and can hold water safely, due to the semi porous nature of the stone wear some sweating or condensation can sometimes occur at the bottom of the vessel.

This vessel measures approximately 8 inches tall and 19 inches in circumference at the widest section.

Each piece is hand built, allowing the shape and feel to emerge organically. 

Ariel Clute is a visual artist living in Berkeley, California. After graduating from California College of the Arts in 2008, Ariel taught printmaking at Creative Growth Art Center in Oakland, California. Her days are now split between being a mother of three girls and working with ceramics in her home studio in Berkeley, California.
