When beginning to put together the puzzle of this new season, I asked myself to come up with a few words to function as 'northern stars'. Guardrails to steer me in the right direction when choosing fabrics, styles & colors.

The words that came from inside my head were: "soft as clouds & cotton balls", "floating & dreaming" & "the 'Victorialand' album by Cocteau Twins"

From there, my obsession began: barely-there tones, scrumptiously soft fabrics, perfect staple pieces, style with ease

WHY DO I LOVE THIS STYLE? I didn't feel like this was the right time to come out swinging with my brightest, deepest color palette. This season, it feels like we are peeping our heads out and cautiously hoping the road to summer isn't full of more false starts. I think these 'barely-there' colors are my way of quietly sneaking back into the world.

I am going through a MAJOR sweatshirt phase right now. It actually makes me feel kinda young when I pop one on - I always associate the perfect sweatshirt with handsome frat boys. 

I've been layering these over my button down shirts; it's stylish but with ease.

But besides all that, the fact is that this fleece is really soft & comfy - as soon as I get home, I look forward to jumping right into my sweatshirts & joggers.

Each sweatshirt is constructed from a 7.4 oz, rich cotton/poly blended knit fabric. The fabric definitely has some body to it which makes for a flattering fit and a more polished look.

Oh and don't think Stephen, (my handsome pal who is modeling) gave any samples back! He is addicted now too :)

Below is some information regarding how B+B fleece got started:

Let me guess, you've been spending a little more time at home lately, right?Yeah me too... 

So I gave myself a little project......If I am going to be here, how can I make myself comfortable without looking like and feeling like a complete lazy bones?

I needed a Blade+Blue version of these ugly sweatshirts & sweatpants that were taking up way too much space in my tiny closet.

So here we are and I am SO EXCITED to see this idea come to life. Not even the pandemic could stop this from happening!

I would also like to say that it was a very rewarding experience to meet and work with people who were in the same boat as I was... we were up against the ropes and we had to box our way out of this mess.

I am very proud that these pieces were Made in USA for Blade+Blue.

To me, these sweatshirts are the new sweater and these joggers are the new jeans.

Check out the images and you'll see that the models are dressed casually (tee & jogger) or more put together with a button down & fleece top). Either way, they look great :)

If you want to see these pieces in real life, just wait on the corner of Eureka St. & Market St. in SF... you are bound to see me walking Blade & Gavin, dashing to the post office before they close, running out to grab my DoorDash order or going for a walk with my Erik. Whatever I am doing, I am in these!

I really like feeling this comfortable but doing it in Blade+Blue style. It makes me feel like not everything had to change in this nutty world.
