In Depth
This upcycled denim was designed by the premier circular design lab and textile mill, Iris Textiles. Based in Guatemala and family-owned and operated since 1956, they specialize in chemical-free, natural fibers and circular manufacturing, including this heavyweight denim. Rather than virgin fibers, it’s made entirely from unused t-shirts, jeans, and other post-industrial textile waste.
Origins
We developed our shirts in partnership with a second-generation maker based in Gallarate, Italy who specializes in delicate fibers like fine silk and knit pique. Their deep knowledge and expertise were instrumental in crafting these unique designs with artisanal details like fine edge stitching, and flat felled seams.
