As a second generation Indian American, Atlanta designer, Meghna Dave grew up immersed in her family's Indian culture, while equally inspired by American trends, pop culture, & timeless fashion.
She created Maelu - an ethical women’s apparel line handmade in India using traditional artisan techniques such as block printing, screen printing & hand weaving.
Maelu strives to follow a sustainable business model by making responsible decisions and staying committed to the artisans behind our textiles.
They work directly with artisans and donate a portion of all profits back into the communities they work with. Their production is done by an NGO in Gujarat that fights for gender equality and empowers women against domestic violence.
