Materials & Makers

These garments were made in China by Fluid Connection who were established in 2006 and are located in Hangzhou. They have been making garments for Elk since 2016 and they visit the operation at least two to three times a year. The factory that their products are made in, is a relatively small operation but quite modern with automated systems for efficiencies and quality.

They are members of Sedex and they chose to operate with them not only for their skills but as they are located close to out fabric and trims suppliers, this reduces transportation impacts, costs and shares other third party suppliers such as dye and print houses.

They are actively working with us  ways to improve the sustainable profiles of our product including shifting to roll packing methods to reduce plastic consumption and replacing conventional sewing threads to recycled materials amongst many other things.
