B Sides was founded by longtime friends and fashion industry veterans Claire Lampert and Stacy Daily who began collecting antique denim as founders of the curated-vintage boutique Where I Was From. They started producing their own denim in 2017 and sourcing from family-owned mills in Georgia and North Carolina that have provided workwear textiles to farm supply stores since the 19th century. The denim is pleasingly weighty yet comfortable to wear.
The Marta Shirt is crafted from Japanese cotton poplin, known for its lightweight and subtly satin finish. Influenced by traditional antique French tailoring, it features a mandarin collar and a drop shoulder design that creates a straight silhouette.
