Our Maui sourced kukui nut oil is full of essential fatty acids, vitamins and antioxidants that leave the skin glowing. It is great for healing wounds, relieving burn pains (sunburn too), dry skin acne and reducing cellulite. It is full of moisture that protects skin from sun, salt, wind and other environmental elements we face. It has a comedogenic rating of 2, which means it will not clog pores or leave your face feeling overly-oily.

Astaxanthin provides a natural source of sun protection. Astaxanthin is a naturally occurring carotenoid found in seafood and sea life, like crustaceans and microalgae. According to the Linus Pauling Institute, carotenoids are a class of over 750 richly colored molecules synthesized by plants, algae, and photosynthetic bacteria. We source our astaxanthin from a microalgae on the Big Island, Hawaii.

Non nano zinc oxide holds powerful sun blocking action while being safe for the reefs. Non Nano means it is larger than 100nm and therefore won’t penetrate your skin and enter the bloodstream, which can pose health risks. Besides it being the safest option of UV filter to use for human health, it has also been shown to be the safest option for marine life and coral reefs, since Zinc Oxide in its Non-Nano form has been shown not to harm marine wildlife. The fact that Zinc Oxide offers natural broad spectrum protection from UVA and UVB rays makes it the safest UV filter available right now and is recommended by scientists as a safe alternative to chemical UV filters. It helps to protect cells from being damaged, halts the aging process and prevents skin dryness by filtering harmful UV rays.
