WHAT WE LOVE: The wool we use to create our Boiled Wool is Responsible Wool Standard Certified by The Textile Exchange. The Responsible Wool Standard certification addresses the welfare of sheep and the land they graze on. Sourcing our wool in Peru also results in a lower carbon footprint because it goes from farm to garment all in the same country. This also minimizes supply chain pollution from transportation.
WHAT WE DON'T LOVE: We currently add a small amount of acrylic to our Boiled Wool. It’s added to extend the life of the garment and also to make the final cost of the garment more affordable. That acrylic portion of the yarn will extend the landfill lifetime of Boiled Wool garment.
