This striking Santo Domingo battery bird necklace is a rare vintage find, dating back to the 1940s. The unique Kewa creation was crafted using the traditional mosaic technique of incorporating tiny bits of stone, gypsum, turquoise and found objects, into an ornate thunderbird pendant and coordinating tabs. This piece is particularly unique for its use of blue chips, something not often found in this style and era of jewelry. A one-of-a-kind collector’s piece.
