LEO CORIZ (Santiago) (1913 OR 1914 - 1997; KEWA). Active since 1930s. Cast work; hand wrought jewelry; overlay; nugget work; coral. Father of Mary Coriz Lovato and grandfather of Anthony Lovato. Studied at the Santa Fe Indian School with Ambrose Roanhorse in 1931-1932. Multiple award winner. Widely respected elder and silversmith at Santo Domingo Pueblo producing highly sought after jewelry created without the use of electricity or wheels.
