A new style for us: Made from an Italian all-cotton fabric, this is a hybrid of two things our design team loves--wearing a polo past summertime and refreshing a class menswear pattern. While tattersall checks were once used primarily for gentlemen’s field clothing, often in a dress shirt worn with a tie and tweed jacket, here it gets a modern take. (Tattersall patterns are composed of regularly-spaced thin stripes, repeated both horizontally and vertically, often in dark alternating colors). Design details include: working button cuffs, side seam vents, and a traditional polo shirt placket and collar. Taking as its cue the New York art scene of the 1980s, these unique styles are part of our fall collection titled “American Bohemian,” which is all about classic menswear pieces infused with a downtown, rebellious spirit.
