Beverly's Story

Talented and generous (and a bit fearless) is the best way to describe Beverly. A now 90-year-old who still drives a red mustang convertible, Beverly’s life has been a mix of giving to others and having as much fun as possible while doing it. One example: Her love for teaching children. Beverly went back to school to become a teacher when she herself had four school-aged kids (talk about fearlessness!). And because she loved teaching so much, she kept doing it well into her retirement years. Once her classroom career ended, she rallied the neighborhood kids for annual gingerbread building lessons and has spent hundreds of hours knitting blankets for kids in need. And to her family, well, she just gives and gives and gives. You could say generosity is her love language, and boy is she fluent.
