This is a vintage 1960s Barbie doll four poster bed made in Canada by Dee & Cee Toy Co Ltd, a Division of Mattel under license to Kiddie Brush and Toy Limited of Jonesville, Michigan. There is a 1963 copyright on the box, but Im unsure if that is the year of manufacture. The underside of the chest and the mattress are marked Suzy Goose Jonesville Michigan Toys That Mold Character In any case, the bed comes with its original box, but requires assembly. The contents are complete and everything is in very good condition - a tiny hole at the corner of the canopy (see last close-up photo) but this is very minor. The box has a bit of moisture staining at one corner and a bit of cardboard missing from one flap, but it is in a solid rigid state and displays very well. This model doesnt come with a boxspring, only a slat - to make springs you need to wrap elastic bands across the side rails.
This is a wonderful Barbie collectible - not common in this very nice condition!
