This is a Harris tweed jacket or sport coat that was made by Champion Tailoring for EBM Skive - please read further below for more information on EBM. 

This Harris Tweed jacket is made in classic style with padded shoulders, high set medium width notched lapels and a three button closure.  The Harris Tweed is woven in a heavier weight coarse twill finish in mixed tones of grey and black that create an overall charcoal grey colour.  The jacket has a flapped pocket at either side (I posed the flaps hidden inside the pockets) and a pocket at the left chest.  The split cuffs each have three buttons and the bottom back has a double flap. The jacket is fully lined in a grey viscose fabric. 

Age:  This Harris Tweed jacket most likely late 50s, possibly early 60s

Label: Champion Tailoring Especially Made For EBM Skive.  EBM was founded as the English Clothing Store in Aarhus, Denmark with the Skive location having been established in 1905.  The English Clothing Store changed its name to EBM during WW2 for fear that the occupying German forces would dislike English being in the name.  In fact, the Germans saw English as denoting quality in clothing.

Sizing: There is no size label on this Harris Tweed jacket, but I think that this should fit about a size 40 /42 - please rely on the following measurements for fit (compare measurements with a similar jacket that you presently own or to your own body measurements, taking the cut of the garment into account):

Shoulders: 19 1/2” across from shoulder/sleeve seam to shoulder/sleeve seam

Sleeves: 24” from the shoulder/sleeve seam - there’s an extra 2” inside the hem cuff should you need more length

Sleeve inseam: 16 1/2”

Chest:  46” around, taken under the arms

Waist:  42” around

Overall length:  30”, measured flat

Condition:  This Harris Tweed jacket is in very good condition with no pronounced wear, stains, odors, or tears - this jacket looks to have seen very little use and has been well cared for over the years.

This is a well tailored jacket made with a beautiful quality tweed fabric - many years of use left in this, great Harris Tweed jacket!
