Antique hand-woven/knotted wool rug with geometric design.  Originally a prayer rug, with the mihrab at one end.  Because it was hand-made (probably on a small travel loom), one side is slightly curved.

Dates to early 20th century and hand-knotted in western Anatolia.

4'10" x 3'6"

It is in overall very good condition, has some beautifully worn areas and some knots are visible.  Fringe is worn away.  There is an old repair on one end. All wear adds to the beauty of these rugs.
