This is a mens vintage fringed leather western jacket made by an artisan, most likely a member of a First Nations tribe, probably during the 1980s. The jacket is unsigned, but obviously not mass produced. This leather western jacket has a small collar and is detailed with orange stitching and ochre coloured rick rack appliqué. It is fully lined in a brown rayon fabric. It does up the front with a large tooth vinyl zipper with a double moccasin leather pull. There is fringe on the pocket at either side, across the chest, at the cuffs, on the shoulder edge and down the back of the sleeve and around the bottom.
Sizing: There is no size is indicated on this leather western jacket, and although this should fit a US men’s size 40, please rely on the following measurements for fit, taking the thickness of the leather and the style of the jacket into consideration:
Shoulders: 19”
Sleeves: 25 1/2”
Sleeve Inseam: 19 1/2”
Chest: 44” around, taken under the arms
Waist: 44” around
Overall length: 35", measured flat, including the fringe
Condition: This mens vintage leather western jacket is in very clean condition with no wear, tear, soiling or odour - looks to have seen no use
