Vintage Kenzo Skirt Maxi Sarong Style Made in Italy

by poppysvintageclothing.com

$ 95.00

  • Product Description

This is a pre-owned Kenzo skirt printed with a white silhouette of a Japanese cranes and blue floral bouquets against a red background.  It is made in a maxi length sarong style, close to the body, definitely Asian inspired.  This Kenzo skirt is constructed of 100% nylon fine mesh in two layers, with the under layer being solid red.  Kenzo Takada (b. 1940s) moved to Paris in 1965 after studying fashion and designing in his native Japan for a Tokyo department store.  He opened his first boutique in Paris in 1970 and went on to expand his business through the 70s, 80s and into the 90s, selling his label to LVMH in 1999.

Label:  Kenzo Jeans.  The Kenzo Jeans label was introduced in 1983

Content label:  Made in Italy.  100% polyamide-nylon

Sizing: This Kenzo skirt is labeled as XL, but my measurements are more in keeping with a size L, depending on how loose or tight that you want this to fit - please rely on the following measurements for fit, noting that there is stretch to the fabric:

Waist:  26” unstretched - 38” fully stretched, so comfortable sizing would be somewhere in between the two

Hips:  36” around

Overall length: 37”

Condition: This Kenzo skirt is in very good condition - clean with no wear, tear, holes, stains or odours.  This looks to have seen very little use.

This is a fun Kenzo skirt - excellent 90s look from a noted Paris designer!
